My Thoughts
Okay you know all those free reads that we all have on our Kindles from Amazon, well this is one of mine and it is a winner!
Burke and Miko are both "Masters" and Sylvie is a submissive and with that being said this is not only a story about M/F/M relationship but a murder mystery thriller that is a pretty fast read that will keep you happy as it is well thought out and has some twists that you do not see coming until too late. Not only that but yes the smex is steamy and for those who like menage stories it is also appealing on that front as well.
I am glad that I hit "buy" button on this one and look forward to reading more by the author Tawny Taylor if I get the chance to do so someday soon!

WOW!!! This book was HOT!!!! Not at all what I was expecting as far as the vampires were concerned but I loved that it was so different. I could barely put my down! It's action-packed, suspenseful and the erotic content is HOT!!! This one is going in my "KEEPERS" collection for sure!
I enjoyed the story she was telling. I had some difficulty swallowing the heroine so easily going with the vampire. The hormonal explanation helped, but I still had a difficult time with it. The love scenes were well written, and allowed me to truly connect with the characters. The only negative I could really say is that the difficulties I as a reader enjoy watching the hero and heroine overcome, both from the outside world and from the inevitable misunderstandings when starting a new relationship, were too easily solved. The sassiness of the heroine was very entertaining.
Boy, what a great story this one was. When I have trouble putting a book down and want to keep on reading, then to me that is the sign of a good read. I cannot understand some of these negative reviews. I loved the story line of 2 gorgeous, hunky, sexy vampires (Burke & Miko), and 1 very, very lucky Sophie. Highly recommended by this very happy reader.
I am a huge fan of the author. I have read 17 of her 50 books...so I guess I have some reading to do. This book is great. I always think that I want more when I get finished with her books.
The content description on didn't explain that this was a "vampire-paranormal" story - if it had - I'd never have bought it - that said, I DID enjoy the story and probably would have enjoyed it more had I not started reading it during the Christmas-New Year holidays where I had limited reading time...I'm not into paranormal but I enjoyed the characters - Burke and Miko were lovable vampires and all in all a fun read....Can't say I'd read another vampire book again soon, but if/when I do I'd read another one by this author...
The story of a woman having not one but two soul mates out there in the world is thrilling. What woman doesn't want to find her one and only, but find out you have two is mind blowing. Tawney weaves a suspenseful story of a woman that finds a dead body in her bar into a page turning journey to catch a killer while opening herself up to romance with 2 vampires. The romance scenes are scorching and caused many needed water breaks. I was confused when reading other reviews posted for this book, because included reviews for another book she wrote and I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy this book after reading the negative reviews.
This is erotica from a woman's point of view. The vampires are described in some detail while the woman is only described as having long blonde hair and then only in passing. As for the erotica it is mild BDSM.
The threesome of two men and one woman is well enough done and there is no homo-erotica if that matters to you. In fact, I don't think the men touch each except to fight or perhaps shake hands. And they don't fight over the woman. You may suspect that the erotica did little for me and you would be correct. Despite the enthusiasm with which the sex was described, I was not particularly turned on. But that is very probably a personal thing and no special fault of the author.
The serial killer and vampire hunt part of the story were well enough done but I thought that the wrap-up was quick and rather abrupt. But as they say, your mileage may vary. I got the impression that the author was anxious to get back to the sex.
I cannot strongly recommend this book. However if you like sex from a woman's point of view and mild BDSM you may enjoy this book.
