I love twist-a-plots, and was intrigued when I saw this. For older readers, this will only take a few minutes to get through. For younger, it is an excellent introduction to critical decision making. The content is engaging enough for older readers to enjoy, yet simplistic enough for younger children to understand.When you get to a choice, and choose, there's a link at the top that lets you change your mind (takes you back to the decision point.) That was really helpful.
Thoughts from readers:
11: It was my first twist-a-plot, and what's really cool is that (POTENTIAL Spoiler: don't keep reading unless you want to risk it) certain mentions make it sound like the character is from another (our) world. But I kept making bad decisions...as if I don't go through enough pain in the "real" world :)!
12: I like it because, with the choices, it makes it seem more real and is just flat-out awesome! Can't wait for the next book!!! Please hurry...
Only problems (the first one isn't really a "problem," just something that bugged me: wanted to point it out):
1. At one point in the book, it makes a reference to something that would have happened had you chosen a different path earlier (mentions wolves when "you" didn't run into them).
2. The link for the video at the end didn't work. Well, what I mean is that I clicked it, it brought me to the site, but then there was nothing in my email after (either spam or inbox). Is that a website problem or something else??
<Update: Got it in a few days later; just had to wait :)!>
3. At the end, there are three choices:
a.) Jump into the Ravine
b.) Climb into the trees
c.) Turn and face the wolves
The "Climb into the trees" option doesn't work. Anyone else having trouble????

Jump right in -- you're sure to have splendid time. Of course, you'll be looking for Episode 2, but that's the idea.
What a fun book to read. It took me back to my childhood and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. A great, well thought-out adventure. )
Wow, this book was a nice surprise. The story was much more involved than I thought would be in a simple Minecraft book. the illustrations were really well done and made the story even better. My kids keep reading it over and over because it's different every time. They can't wait for Episode 2.
this book is good but I have some problems with the links a little like on climb the trees along the edge didn't work but it was good all in all
This was so fun to read! I love the way you can make decisions along the way, and how everything connects. Interactive is such an engaging way to format a story! This was cleverly written and is full of excitement! And I totally loved the graphics. I realized there were some minor errors, such as a link not working, but they were fixed very quickly and I was able to easily update my book to the latest version. I really appreciate their effort to provide the best product.
My children love Minecraft. So the subject was really appealing for this book and I bought it for them. They love it, especially the 13 year old child. He is a gamer and the only thing he like to read so far is fan-fiction of games or anime. He told me that the best thing of this book was that it is interactive. It gives the reader choices in what to do next in the story. He really liked it and asked me to buy him more books like this. I will certainly buy more from C J Lewis if they continue writing other Interactive Minecraft books like this one.
This is a great book for any child that loves Minecraft! When I was a kid, there were books that were similar to this and they were always my favorites. You get to choose the path that the character takes during certain parts of the book, making it even more fun to read. In addition, it allows you to read the book multiple times, allowing you to choose different paths each time. This is a must have book for any child that loves Minecraft!
